Cold Drinks Back Pain

Devo ammettere che negli ultimi mesi la voglia di aggiornare il blog è mancata parecchio, ma vorrei rifarmi con un bel post che, come da tradizione, abbassa la scure sulle auto che più mi hanno colpito in questo 2009 ormai agli sgoccioli. Per questa terza edizione ho deciso anche di elencare le vetture in ordine di preferenza,stilando insomma una sorta di mini-classifica. Non sarà prestigioso come l' Ecoty di Evo, ma spero che la (lunga) lettura non vi annoi troppo. Saluti e buon 2010 a tutti!

15)Pagani Zonda R ( fuori classifica )
If it was a road car would end up at the top of my personal list, because I am more than convinced that the Zonda R has instantly earned a place among the best car of all time. 14) Aston Martin Cygnet Concept
Teoricamente la Cygnet sarebbe una delle tre Aston presenti in questa classifica. “Sarebbe” e non “è”, visto che mi rifiuto di considerarla un prodotto della stessa casa che sforna capolavori del calibro di DBS e Vantage. Anche perchè a dirla tutta sotto la goffa carrozzeria non lo è nemmeno, essendo essenzialmente una ben meno nobile Toyota iQ. La domanda che mi salta in mente è una sola: perchè diavolo a Gaydon hanno sentito la necessità di partorire un simile aborto, un vero e proprio insulto al resto della gamma? La Cygnet è bruttissima e maledettamente insensata; in un’unica word, an abomination. REJECTED.


13) BMW 5 GT
I thought after that horrible X6 in Monaco would not be able to shape something uglier and more useless, but I am promptly denied. The GT Series 5 is neither a sedan nor an SUV nor a SW, but a PAS: an acronym coined by the marketing wizards to define a new BMW, "exciting" niche market. The mixture is that it came out of immeasurable ugliness, so horrible that I can hardly believe that anyone in their right mind would throw away mountains of € on such a disgrace. The 5 GT he gets the coveted prize of "the ugliest car of 2009, according to the undersigned." Bad and useless, can only be REJECTED.


12) Porsche Boxster Spyder
rating could be summed up in "Porsche plays the Lotus but fails as well." In fact, in Stuttgart have decided to follow the straight path of light and hard and pure sports car, but the result is not exactly exciting. They took a Boxster, depriving it of the folding roof, climate control, radio and even door handles (stuff that even the earliest dated spartan Elise '96 ...) and save around eighty pounds. Not exactly a staggering figure, given that the Boxster Spyder (as he calls it, a clear reference to the superb 550 of '55) of pounds it still weighs less than 1300, or nearly half a ton more than an Elise with current radio , air conditioning, door handles and a roof that is not comparable to tissue paper. Needless to say the Spyder is more expensive than the more well-equipped standard Boxster S, and even more useless to point out that at a price of over € 65 thousand in the garage you can take a Lotus Exige with full optional performance package, a far cry compared with an excellent hairdresser's car while trying to pose as uncompromising sports. 11) Lexus LFA
Dopo anni di concept, aspettative e proroghe è finalmente arrivata la supercar by Lexus. Il suo tecnologico cuore V10, già osannato dai tester di tutto il mondo, permette di raggiungere le eccezionali prestazioni che erano state promesse con una facilità sconcertante. La linea non si è discostata molto da quella della prima concept, e per fortuna: la LFA non ha solo le prestazioni da supercar, ma anche il look. L’unico problema è il prezzo: decisamente troppo alto per una Lexus, anche se unica ed estrema come questa. I quasi 400mila euro che bisogna sborsare per portarsela a casa la collocano in una fascia dove la concorrenza is too fierce. The LFA is a successful experiment, but went to position themselves in the wrong place. REJECTED.


10) Lotus Exige S MY2010

9) Mercedes AMG SLS
no getting around it, I say it now: I do not like the SLS. Has little of the charm of the legendary ancestor of the 50s and doors apart, even from the stylistic point of view I find it far from exceptional. The curves the rear are by no means contemptible, but the front is ugly and awkward, the interior resemble those of the usual monotonous and dull, boring Mercedes. However, the first test drive seems to be much more valid and that the mechanism is undoubtedly first-rate, as well as performance guarantees. Ultimately, despite leaving me rather chilly, I must acknowledge that the SLS is probably the only interesting model of the range Mercedes and has certain objective qualities that can not be ignored. 8) Jaguar XJ

7) Ford Focus RS

6) Aston Martin Rapide

3) Aston Martin V12 Vantage

2) Ferrari 458 Italia
Dopo cinque anni va in pensione la F430 e la berlinetta V8 Ferrari si evolve alzando la posta in gioco. Fra le novità tecniche figurano il motore V8 da 570 cavalli in grado di spingere fino a 9000 giri e il nuovo cambio a doppia frizione. Il design è una rivoluzione: addio alle linee più classiche delle progenitrici, sulla 458 il taglio con passato è più che netto. Abbiamo un posteriore volgarotto, una fiancata superba e un anteriore ancora da digerire, ma nel complesso, sia tecnicamente che stilisticamente, la 458 Italia va a rappresentare il nuovo punto di riferimento nel mercato delle supercar: PROMOSSA .


1) Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV
Siamo arrivati al punto più alto della classifica: il gradino più alto del podio è regno dell’ultima evoluzione, la versione definitiva, la più estrema della leggendaria stirpe Murcielago nata nel 2001. È un triste addio dopo otto anni, ma si può senza certainly say that the SV is the swan song of the most exciting I've ever plowed the streets of this land. Fast, brutal, savage, an exhibitionist and a bit 'Tamarra: the LP670 embodies everything that has to be a true Hypercar, including the staggering price tag. E 'car so exceptional that I doubt that his successor can do better.
