Oggi, Venerdì 12 febbraio 2010 si terrà la cerimonia opening of the XXI Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada. For the occasion, the cones will open its doors within its headquarters, House Italy, Art Exhibition "Olympic Spirit to the contemporary Italian-education cultures and peace."
The artist Paola Delfino was invited by the Olympic Committee to represent Italy at Casa Italy contributing with his work "Free to be" at the prestigious group consists of 43 works.
With his personal pictorial language Paola Delfino can give voice to the energy, the movement to freedom of man in nature. In this
occasione, l’artista ha realizzato l’opera Liberi di essere scegliendo di rappresentare uno sciatore intento a vivere la libertà di saltare e di essere un uomo libero, praticando il free style.
Il fondo richiama l’azzurro, colore simbolo dell’Italia. A sinistra i cerchi olipici appena accennati, a destra i colori della bandiera italiana, in alto il mondo geografico, in basso il mondo culturale-sociale.
La mostra si annuncia densa di pathos non soltanto per il richiamo mediatico verso cui si calamita, ma anche per l’eco della manifestazione invernale che attrae l’attenzione di tutto il mondo non soltanto sportivo.
Casa Italia è dunque il luogo ideale per dosare lo spirito Olympic and inherent in the cultural show.
